As an NZRN, I have been practicing for 22 years and, since 2015, I have been providing basic Foot Care for older adults in the community. My role is to assess & manage problems of the feet & nails within my scope of practice as an RN.
For most folk, a simple 30 minute appointment is sufficient to trim toe nails & reduce any dry, uncomfortable calluses that may be causing pain & pressure against your shoes. However, occasionally, I may recommend a referral to your GP or Podiatrist for more advanced treatments if warranted.
